Inside Real Estate Announces Winners of Fifth Annual Give Back Awards

Three winners were selected as members of the real estate community who have made a significant impact through service within their communities in 2024, and the company awarded them $1000 each, and donated $10 per nomination to Rebuilding Together, supporting their efforts in repairing homes, revitalizing communities, and rebuilding lives.

2024 Give Back Award Winners: 

  • The Helping Hand Award: Jessica Souza, Broker/Co-Owner, Paradise Exclusive Real Estate
    Jessica is a true leader in both real estate and her community, consistently stepping up in times of need. After Hurricanes Helene and Milton, she organized relief efforts, delivering meals and supplies, raising funds, and aiding home cleanups. She also ensured displaced families found shelter and continued supporting recovery long after the storms. Beyond disaster relief, Jessica founded Paradise Athletics, a cheer program serving 150 youth annually, and is the incoming president of the Englewood Chamber of Commerce. From mentoring agents to organizing community initiatives like safe walks and waterway cleanups, Jessica’s compassionate leadership and tireless efforts make her a true community hero.

  • The Walk-The-Talk Award: Michelle Moss, REALTOR® The Reynolds Team, Compass.
    Michelle created Pink in Paradise, a nonprofit foundation dedicated to supporting "Friends After Diagnoses" and assisting women undergoing cancer treatment. Through her tireless efforts, Michelle raises funds to provide critical support, including transportation, wigs, and emotional assistance. This year alone, Michelle raised approximately $19,000, which went directly to the organization, thanks to her leadership and the generosity of her sponsors and clients. Her selflessness and commitment ensure every detail is handled impeccably, making a profound difference in the lives of women in need. 

  • The Creative Changemaker Award: Melissa Morrell, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices C Dan Joyner
    Melissa created the signature "Bourbon for Boobs" event, benefiting Bon Secours St. Francis Pearlie Center for Breast Health. Over the past five years, this event has raised significant funds to help underserved women access essential breast health services, including screenings, diagnostic mammograms, ultrasounds, and MRIs. This year’s event alone raised over $120,000, showcasing Melissa’s unwavering commitment to making a difference in her community.

 

The Helping Hand Award celebrates an individual who jumps in to aid friends, family, employees, another business or the community, The Walk-The-Talk Award honors those making charitable giving a part of their business, and The Creative Changemaker Award recognizes those using their creativity to put an innovative spin on giving back.



Winners are featured on social media, and the Give Back Awards website, and receive a $1,000 prize with the option to donate the prize to an organization of each winner’s choice. For each nomination, Inside Real Estate made a $10 donation to the efforts of Rebuilding Together
