2025 Give Back Awards: Rick Peña & the Miracle League of the 805

Rick Peña is recognized for his visionary leadership and commitment to inclusivity through the creation of the Miracle League of the 805. Beginning in 2016, Rick helped lead the effort to build a fully ADA-accessible baseball field for children with special needs in Southern California. Through years of perseverance—including forming a board, raising $1.2 million, securing land, and breaking ground in 2023—the project became a reality. Today, the Miracle League of the 805 continues to grow, offering children of all abilities the opportunity to experience the joy, confidence, and community that come with playing baseball.
